What we collect

Personal Data

We make every effort to collect no identifiable information you, our users. That means we do not ask for your email (unless explicitly provided on our Contact form) to use the application. More importantly, we do not ever transmit the content you put into Cabula over the internet.

Usage Analytics and Crashes

We believe we can provide you with a better product if we know how you use it. We collect anonymized analytics via Apple’s mechanisms built into macOS. That means, if you have analytics disabled in settings, we do not recieve any data from you. If you have them enabled, we recieve a small amount of anonymized usage information. We do not manage this data on our own servers, it is managed strictly by Apple. Crash reports are similarly anonymized and not managed by us directly.

We can inspect crash and analytics reports to see what you were doing with the app, but not the data you put into it. Analytics includes information like which buttons were pressed how many times, and what pages you spend the most time looking at. It does not include the personal content on those pages.
